A FEW WORDS ABOUT US

THE SUMTER SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

Conservation Districts are political subdivisions of state government under the local direction of five-member Boards of Commissioners. The Sumter Soil & Water Conservation District promotes the wise use and care of natural resources for long-term sustainability. All programs and services of the Conservation District, USDA, NRCS, and SCDNR are offered on a nondiscriminatory basis without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, marital status, or handicap.

We also seek to offer many opportunities for residents of Sumter to learn more about us, like through our Fellowship program or Seed Library project.
