Sumter SWCD Seed Library

Sumter Soil & Water Conservation District is proud to provide a seed library to all Sumter residents! It is vital to know where our food comes from, the importance of producers and the service they provide to our community, and the benefits of home gardening. Locally grown vegetables can assist in reducing carbon emissions, help improve soil quality, and provide food security to families and individuals.

Library cardholders can check out up to 5 vegetables, herbs and/or wildflower packets. Simply bring your chosen selection from the seed drawers to the checkout desk to be catalogued. Preserving and returning seeds back to the library is very much encouraged, but not required.

Seeds can be found at:

Sumter County Library
111 N. Harvin St.
Sumter SC 29150
